Invitation: The Future of Social Business, 17th September 2015, Great Yarmouth, 10:00 - 14:00

In my role as The Prince's Ambassador for the East of England I would like to invite you to join Business in the Community in discovering how you can engage with social enterprises to benefit your business and create a more sustainable future for society.

Industry and the economy has changed extensively in Britain and while some areas of the UK have benefited, many local communities have suffered with unemployment, loss of local businesses, as well as declining standards and aspirations.

A part of a local project Business in the Community has been working with employers in Great Yarmouth to provide a comprehensive support service for start-up social enterprises. By supporting this development social enterprises are helping to create jobs, develop skills and bring a boost to the local economy.

The next phase of the project will require the social enterprises to become self-sustaining and they are looking to engage with a variety of local organisations to support this. From becoming a future supplier to offering employee engagement opportunities there are a number of options for you to engage with social enterprises, in ways that benefit your organisation, the economy and the local community. It is a fantastic opportunity to explore supply chain ideas, partnership working and referral routes that can evidence social impact and achieve positive outcomes.

You are invited to join us at this free event on Thursday 17th September in The Ambassador Room, Great Yarmouth Town Hall, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2QF to learn more about the opportunities that exist and that will enable your organisation to join us in a creating a fairer society and more sustainable future .
