This half-day course introduces practical strategies for maximising your social media presence by gaining new followers and creating share-able content. You'll be introduced to current social media best practice and develop a better understanding of what your followers expect from you.

Its intended for anyone who is responsible for organisational Twitter and Facebook accounts, including staff, trustees and volunteers. It is designed for people who are familiar with the basic functions of Twitter and Facebook and would like to improve their knowledge.

It will help you see your Twitter and Facebook profiles from your followers' point of view. By understanding what they want from your social media presence, you will learn how to expand your audience, inspire loyalty and raise the profile of your organisation.

We'll cover:

  • building relationships through social media
  • creating effective profiles, including bios and images
  • using a social media dashboard to listen, publish, engage and monitor
  • finding quality content to share online
  • integrating social media with offline communications
  • developing a social media policy
