European Funding Opportunities for Suffolk within: ‘Health & Wellbeing’

European Funding Opportunities for Suffolk within:

'Health & Wellbeing'

MONDAY, JUNE 22, 1:00pm - 4:30pm,

Waterfront Auditorium, UCS, Ipswich

European Funding to help Suffolk Organisations and Businesses deliver positive Health & Wellbeing outcomes runs in to millions of pounds for:

health promotion - ICT for ageing well - eHealth

- medtech and active ageing

Suffolk County Council is passionate about creating greater awareness and exploiting these opportunities. The purpose of this FREE Workshop is to bring together a cross-section of Public Sector Organisations, Health and Care Providers; Academics; Small Medium Enterprises; the Voluntary sector, etc., to:

ü  Create awareness leading to action - Europe offers significant project funding opportunities!

ü  Share existing innovative Health & Wellbeing project ideas already taking shape on the continent which Suffolk could potentially be a part of

ü  Get people thinking about the broader opportunities: Ageing well starts in early years - a product or service to manage a condition early in life can help in later years in all sorts of ways

ü  Draw out the key Suffolk health & social care challenges (inc. the Social Care Act) and ensure there is a clear project focus that also complements appropriate European partner needs

ü  Address the challenges around taking new ideas to market and embedding uptake

ü  Outline the support available to help Organisations build up project ideas and set up systems to deliver them

…… and all for the purpose of seeking to bring more European funding in to Suffolk to help develop innovative products, improved services and changes that will meet Suffolk needs.

WORKSHOPS

To help everyone get the most out of the event, as part of the pre-event registration delegates are asked to state what challenges they face and if possible, what ideas they may already have. These challenges and ideas can then be explored further on the day with the aim of making a start on pulling together potential projects and subsequently funding bids.

We also want to identify the best way(s) to work together in order to take projects forward and share new funding and project opportunities when they arise.
