Cambridge Ella Forums -Leadership & Development meeting

FUNDRAISING NEEDS AND CHALLENGES
ANNA BAREFOOT - ANNA BAREFOOT CONSULTING

Organised by Ella Forums

We would like to invite you to our October Forum and hope very much that you will join us on Thursday 26 October2017.

We are very pleased to welcome Anna Barefoot of Anna Barefoot Consuling as our speaker.

With almost two decades' fundraising and management experience ranging across diverse fields,  Anna has an exceptional track record in securing six- and seven-figure donations and grants; developing successful, sustainable fundraising strategies; and supporting teams to smash multi-million pound targets. Anna set up the major giving programme at WaterAid, led the fundraising team at Cass Business School, and more recently established from scratch the trusts and major gifts team at Anthony Nolan, growing income from £125k to £2.5m over five years. These days, Anna  is based in a small village in rural Cambridgeshire and works freelance as a consultant with clients ranging from Anti-Slavery International to Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust, Womanity Foundation to Independent Age.

Anna's Workshop will focus on delegates' individual fundraising challenges and needs, providing practical tools and guidance to help navigate the diverse and sometimes challenging world of fundraising. The session will look at some of the particular challenges of fundraising for smaller organisations, including 'upward management' of relationships with the board, and help delegates with prioritisation, strategic planning, and - importantly - maintaining morale and sanity!

We will then participate in a Peer Group Learning session where participants' issues, opportunities or challenges will be discussed and solutions offered.

This is a great opportunity to experience the Cambridge ella-leadership forum, decide if you are interested in developing your leadership skills and be part of a team of leaders wishing to make a positive impact on the world.

I hope that you will come away energised with valuable insights, but more importantly with an idea of what ella forums can offer you in terms of support and connections.
