Bishop's Stortford based charity TheGivingMachine has raised over £1million in free donations for UK based charities, school and good causes by converting online sales commissions into free donations.
Richard Morris, Founder and CEO and Rachel Jackson were delighted to be invited to the Tech4Good Awards Event held at The BT Tower on Wednesday 8th June, where it was revealed TheGivingMachine are finalists for the BT My Donate Fundraising Award.
The Tech4Good Awards recognize organisations and individuals who use digital technology to improve the lives of others. They are the only awards to highlight the wealth of charities, businesses and volunteers across the UK that harness the power of technology to benefit the community. They want to celebrate the hard work that these people put into making the world a better place.
The hundreds of amazing entries were narrowed down to just 28 finalists by the Judges for seven of the awards. But the 8th Award, the People's Award is decided by you, the general public.
To vote for TheGivingMachine (or one of the other finalists), you can either visit the Tech4Good Awards website http://www.tech4goodawards.com/peoples-award/ or simply by tweeting using their unique hashtag of #T4GTheGivingMachine.
Voting closes at 5pm on Tuesday 5th July and the winners of all the awards will be announced live on Twitter at the Awards ceremony on Wednesday 6th July.
