SEEE member releases song for charity

SEEE member Voice cloud releases album with all profits from sales going towards a palliative care centre in Norfolk.

'My Song, Our Song' is an album of songs from different genres and styles which express people's feelings about facing, dealing with and overcoming cancer and other life-limiting conditions and is available now for download on iTunes, Amazon and from other digital distributors.

The album has been written and compiled by musicians (Paul Amer, Graham Stacey and Stephen Amer) from the Voice cLoud which is an arts organisation based in East Anglia that explores the link between music and health. The Voice cLoud were delivering a music project between May and July 2014 at The Louise Hamilton Centre, which is based at the James Paget Hospital in Norfolk. The organisation were working with individuals who use the services of the centre, using professional musicians to guide and support people through the song-writing process; offering the chance for them to tell their own story and to write a song which would be recorded for the album.

Around the same time, some children from the Edward Worlledge community junior school in Great Yarmouth were given a challenge to "make a difference to somebody or something". Four of the children (Chloe, Hayden, Jay and Teddy) wrote a song inspired by the bravery and tenacity that cancer sufferer Stephen Sutton displayed in his own battle with the disease and called it 'I Just Wanna Beat Cancer'. The Voice cLoud heard the children who called themselves Cancer Beat singing the song and offered to professionally record the song, copyright it and include it on the 'My Song, Our Song' album.

The album which includes six songs, including the single by the children is now available for download with all money raised from every single download donated directly to the Louise Hamilton Centre in Gorleston, which provides a much needed care base for patients and their families in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.

The 'My Song, Our Song' album can be downloaded HERE for £4.74 and the children's song 'I Just Wanna Beat Cancer' single can be downloaded HERE for .79p
