Realise Futures secures £2m contract

Realise Futures has been selected by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) to provide further education and training to new employees, and their employers, across the East of England - creating seven new jobs.


Realise Futures has been awarded the £2 million contract to support newly-employed adults - aged 19 and over - who are registered on the government's Work Programme. It expects to help 900 people and their employers.


The company will ensure Work Programme participants are given the right level of personal skills training they need to improve their chances of staying in their current job, including starting an apprenticeship.


Additionally, the company is responsible for providing bespoke help to employers - including coaching workplace mentors and providing work career plans.


Last year, Realise Futures helped more than 95,000 people across the Eastern region with careers advice and 7,000 people in Suffolk, including 2,000 people under the age of 24, access community learning.


Realise Futures' Head of Contracts, Matt White said: "We are delighted to have been awarded this contract funded by the European Social Fund, and we have already started working to support those people in our area. We have recruited seven new staff, including five case workers working across the East of England.


The contract runs for one year but could run until 31st July 2017 following European Social Fund and Skills Funding Agency annual extension reviews.
