New Home for CDS at Colworth Park

New Home for CDS at Colworth Park

CDS CiC, a Social Enterprise that provides community dental services and oral health improvement programmes across Central and Eastern England, has relocated its head office operations to Colworth Park, Sharnbrook in Bedfordshire.

The move reflects the growth in CDS CiC over recent years and the drive to find accommodation that offers improved disability access and has the space and flexibility to expand, determined after a review of current and future business needs within our  employee owned social enterprise.

A key factor behind the relocation was the need to ensure good access to the site for everyone. The environment and access were important factors for CDS CiC and the new base offers significantly improved access for visitors and those with any form of disability.

The move places CDS CiC at the heart of a cluster of progressive science based enterprises, supporting its overall mission of delivering oral health in evermore communities.  Colworth Park is an established science, enterprise and innovation park and home to both well-established global brands and start-ups and provides the ideal space to foster collaboration between enterprises.

Alison Reid, CEO of CDS CiC said: 'I am delighted that we have been able to find a location for our CDS head office that will give us the flexibility to grow and provide an attractive, welcoming and easily accessible environment for all our employees and visitors. This is very much a resource for the whole of CDS CiC to stimulate different ways of working and support a range of events. Being located at the heart of an innovative, science based enterprise cluster will give us the opportunity to collaborate with many new partners and we are really excited about all the opportunities this will bring to reach out to even more communities to raise awareness about good oral health and to improve oral health in the most vulnerable'.

Welcoming CDS, Keith Purdie, Business Development Director for Colworth Park said: 'CDS bring a new dynamic to the range of businesses already located here. They share our values of innovation and collaboration as well as reflecting our overall aims to support and add value to local communities through their aim of oral health improvement."

CDS is a social enterprise co-owned by its employees and provides special care dentistry to vulnerable patient groups and oral health improvement.
