Movers and Shakers: New appointment at Realise Futures

The Board of Directors of Ipswich-based social enterprise Realise Futures has promoted Jane Sutton to the position of Business Systems Director. She was previously Business Systems and Compliance Manager.

 

The new post is responsible for protecting and promoting the company's brand and taking the strategic lead for property, supplier contracts, quality improvements, GDPR and communications.

 

Realise Futures operates in Suffolk and Essex and specialises in a range of training and employment services for people with disabilities and/or disadvantages. Services including employment support, adult learning community classes, and work opportunities at six social businesses. 

 

Jane started her career in at Fisons Horticulture in a PR role, before joining Suffolk County Council in 2003 where she worked in a variety of roles in the learning and development team, including information and events.  

 

In 2012, when Realise Futures divested from the county council, Jane's role covered the whole of the company, including responsibility for branding and communications.  Latterly it has encompassed compliance and business systems responsibilities. 

 

Jane said: "I've seen the company progress over the years and been involved in many initiatives to take it forward, and I have enjoyed seeing it become the collaborative organisation it is today. I am looking forward to the new challenges ahead as a Director."

 

Managing Director Sally Butcher added: "We congratulate Jane on the contribution she has made to shaping the company over the past six years, and the Board looks forward to her continued insight when determining our future successes."
