Eastern Savings & Loans Credit Union was delighted to welcome the Shadow Chancellor Rt Hon Ed Balls to our Ipswich Town Centre shop on Thursday 11th September 2014.
Through working in partnership with Ipswich Borough Council, Eastern Savings & Loans has been given the opportunity to open a shop in Ipswich town centre to increase the visibility of our services in the county town. Chris Mole, CEO of Eastern Savings and Loans, "We see this opportunity of a town centre location as a means to offer our products and services to the whole community."
This new town centre location is close to parking and public transport routes. Since our opening in May 2014 we have seen an increase in members of the public enquiring about our products and services, and we hope this trend will continue. The new shop at 58 Westgate Street, Ipswich, is open Monday - Friday 9.30am - 4pm. Saturday 10 am - 1 pm.
Eastern Saving & Loans has created dynamic products, in response to the needs of local people. We have done this by creating our new Advantage Loan product for working people, to help spread the cost of life's little extras when wages are not increasing at the same pace of inflation. By offering fair and transparent financial services tailored to benefit our local community and members, we are able to assist residents of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire in their financial wellbeing as the economy recovers.
Eastern Savings & Loans is part of a nationwide credit union community, providing responsible alternatives within the financial sector. We welcome the Shadow Chancellor's comments on 18th July 2014, about the need for greater competition in the financial sector, and the need for sustainable alternatives to the big banks, and high cost lenders.
