Social care provider, Leading Lives, has beaten off stiff competition from employee owned businesses around the UK in the annual Employee Ownership Awards held in Birmingham. Lucy Humphrey, Chair of the organisation's 100% employee owned Board, received the Employee Owner of the Year for her personal contribution to developing a culture of employee ownership.
The Employee Owner of the Year celebrates an individual who has done the most to promote and develop employee ownership inside an employee owned organisation.
Leading Lives received three awards in the Suffolk Care Awards including the award for Culture, Creativity and Activities for the Green conservation group based at Sudbury Community Hub and the Health and Social Care Training Award for the work of the in-house training team. Sudbury Locality Manager, Sally Rodwell was singled out for the Special Recognition Award for her outstanding contribution to social care in Suffolk.
